McKinney High School Color Guard
Is a team of performers that put on shows during the Fall and Spring semesters each school year. In the Fall Semester the Color Guard is part of the McKinney High School Royal Pride Marching Band. They perform in Parades, Pep Rallies and Marching Competitions. During the Spring semester McKinney Color Guard learns an indoor production and competes in shows across North Texas. The Directors working with the teams emphasize dance, flag, rifle and saber training to build strong and successfull performers. In the Spring Semester performers also perform in Solo and Ensemble competitions across North Texas.
The performers are a collection of students from McKinney High School grades 9-12. No prior experience is necessary to audition for the Fall or Winter teams. If you are an incoming 8th grader or a current MHS student looking for an activity to join, please let us know and we would love to see you come to a clinic or open gym and audition.
